BOOK MORE WOMEN
INTRODUCING THE NEXT CHAPTER OF BOOK MORE WOMEN
BOOK MORE WOMEN IS WORKING TO ADVANCE GENDER EQUITY IN MUSIC THROUGH DATA AND COMMUNITY
Book More Women has measured gender disparity in music for 8 years. Now, we're moving from awareness to action: relaunching with a mission to put the data to work. Help us change the numbers for good.
WE’RE BUILDING THIS TOGETHER.
FROM PRESENTING THE DATA,
TO PUTTING IT TO WORK
Across nine of the biggest multi-genre music festivals in the U.S. only 22% of the musicians booked in 2025 were women. 1% were nonbinary. 0.5% were transgender women or transgender men.
For the first time since our tracking began in 2018, representation decreased in 2025. Visibility and public pressure are no longer enough. So we're ready to do MORE.
Book More Women is challenging the status quo in the music industry — elevating underrepresented voices and shaping a more equitable ecosystem through data-driven advocacy, narrative change, and community-centered support.
OUR MISSION
We envision a music industry built on transparency, accountability, and care – where gender equity is expected, representation is intentional, and artists and professionals of all identities have equal opportunities to thrive.
